Hello everyone, it has been a few weeks since Bayani had its Early Access launch on Steam and the reception was phenomenal. It went way better than we expected and for that we are exceptionally grateful to everyone that has helped us along the way:
To all of our kickstarter backers, all our supporters, all the members of the FGC that supported us, everyone that gave us precious feedback through the entire 3 years of research and development, to everyone that put their faith in us and trusted us, Team Ranida thanks you all from the bottom of our hearts. We'll soon finish a full credits page to show our thanks and appreciation. We know it's nearly not enough to express how much gratitude we feel so we'll show it by making Bayani even better instead.
Now that the Early Access launch is over, we've had time to step back and evaluate our work so far. To put things in perspective, we've been making the game since 2016 and it has drastically changed shape and form through the years. It started out as a simple mobile game made by developers who knew nothing about fighting games and kept changing and evolving as we learned not just about the intricacies of fighting games but how to make a better game as well. To further supplement our lack in knowledge and experience in the field of fighting games, we asked help from members of the FGC in the country.
Surprisingly, Ryan "Filipino Champ" Ramirez got on board as well. With them at our side, they can help fill in the gaps that we were lacking. However, at the end of the day, no matter how much theoretical knowledge and experience the team has, we still needed to create something that has an identity that thoroughly combines everything we've learned through the years.
We’ll be doing daily dev blogs for the next 2 days so that we can inform every one of what our future plans are and how we will proceed from here. Stay tuned for more news and updates!
